Purchasing and replenishment in Granditude Commerce
Purchase management: what to buy, from whom, and when
Granditude Purchase Management answers the three procurement questions with data the platform already has: real demand from the shops and the order desk, the projected stock position from the warehouse, and each supplier's prices, lead times and minimum quantities. It turns them into purchase suggestions a buyer can act on or override.
Receives
- Sales orders as demand
- Products and projected stock
- Supplier catalogues from trading partners
- Goods receipts from the warehouse
Publishes
- Purchase orders
- Inbound shipments to expect
- Weighted cost prices
- New products
Reordering on gut feeling costs twice: once in stockouts, once in dead stock
Without live numbers, buyers reorder from a spreadsheet and a feeling. Fast sellers run out while the supplier is still producing them, and slow sellers sit on the shelf with capital tied up.
Granditude Purchase Management reorders from the projected stock line, not today's count. It knows the day a product will fall below its minimum, how long the supplier takes to deliver, and the latest day you can order.
Sound familiar?
- Stockouts noticed when customers complain
- Supplier price lists in folders, out of date
- Cost prices in the shop that do not match what the goods cost
What Granditude Purchase Management does
- Purchase suggestions
- Reorder suggestions per product and warehouse, ranked by urgency, with the latest order date calculated from the supplier's lead time.
- Projected inventory
- A timeline of future stock per warehouse that combines open sales orders and inbound purchase orders, so you see the day stock runs out.
- Supplier terms per product
- Supplier SKU, price, currency, validity, minimum order quantity, order multiple and lead time, with one primary supplier per product.
- Purchase orders
- Raise, send and track purchase orders, with VAT handled per supplier and delivery to the right warehouse.
- Split deliveries
- Receive one purchase order across several warehouses and several arrival dates.
- Cost back to the catalogue
- The weighted average purchase price is recalculated at every goods receipt and published to PIM and Pricing.
- Supplier catalogues
- Suppliers who also run Granditude Commerce share their catalogue directly. Match the rows to your products, or publish them as new ones.
- Works with or without a WMS
- Receive goods in Granditude WMS, or book them in manually in Purchase Management.
From signal to stock on the shelf
Demand and stock are read
Sales orders and the warehouse's projected stock feed the suggestion engine continuously.
A suggestion is raised
When stock will fall below the minimum within the supplier's lead time, a suggestion appears with quantity, supplier and cost.
The buyer orders
Convert suggestions into purchase orders, adjust them, and send them to the supplier.
Goods are received
The warehouse books the delivery in. Cost is recalculated and published, and the projected stock line moves.
Part of one platform, not another silo
Purchase Management never talks to another application directly. It publishes what it owns to Connect once, and receives what it needs the same way. That is why the numbers stay the same in every system.

Questions about Purchase Management
How are purchase suggestions calculated?
From the projected stock per warehouse, the minimum and maximum stock levels you set, the primary supplier's lead time, minimum order quantity and order multiple, and recent demand. Each suggestion shows the latest day you can order before stock runs out.
What is projected inventory?
A forward-looking stock timeline that combines current stock, open sales orders and inbound purchase orders, showing the date stock will fall below the minimum level.
How is the cost price calculated?
As a weighted average purchase price, recalculated at every goods receipt and published back to the catalogue and to Pricing, so margins reflect what the goods actually cost.
Can one purchase order be delivered to several warehouses?
Yes. A purchase order can be split into several shipments with different warehouses and arrival dates, and receipts are added up per line.
Do I need a warehouse system to use it?
No. Goods can be received in Granditude WMS, or booked in manually in Purchase Management.
Can suppliers send their catalogue directly?
Suppliers who also run Granditude Commerce can share their catalogue across the platform. Buyers review the rows and either match them to existing products or publish them as new ones.
