Product information management in Granditude Commerce
PIM: one product record for every market and every channel
Granditude PIM is the product information management system at the start of every product's life. It holds what a product is, how it reads in each market, and where it is sold, and publishes it to the shop, the order desk, pricing, purchasing and the warehouse the moment it changes.
Receives
- New products from supplier catalogues
- Cost prices from purchasing
- Stock from the warehouse
- Tags from pricing
Publishes
- Products
- Brands, categories, tags and options
- Catalogue shares to trading partners
Product data that lives in five places is wrong in four of them
Most merchants keep product information in the webshop, the ERP, a supplier's spreadsheet and somebody's head. Every new market doubles the work, and every channel adds a copy that slowly stops matching the others.
Granditude PIM gives each product one record. Text and classification are held per market, and whether the product is sold is decided per channel, so the same article can read differently in Sweden and Germany without becoming two products to maintain.
Sound familiar?
- The same product described three different ways in three channels
- Launching a new market means copying the whole catalogue by hand
- Supplier data arrives as spreadsheets nobody has time to clean up
What Granditude PIM does
- Content per market
- Name, description, brand, categories, options and attributes are stored per market on the same product record, in that market's language.
- Listing per channel
- Activate a product in a market, then list or unlist it per sales channel without touching the others. Retire it everywhere in one step.
- Variants and bundles
- Group sizes and colours into one variant family the shop can navigate. Build bundles and configurable products from existing articles.
- AI product descriptions
- Draft product copy where the supplier supplied none, one product at a time or in bulk, and translate a product into another market's language.
- Media in bulk
- Upload single files or whole zip archives, search the media library, and attach images, video and documents to the right products.
- Shared metadata
- Brands, a category tree and options per market, plus tenant-wide tags. Rename a brand once and every product that uses it follows.
- Automatic article numbers
- Let PIM assign the next article number with your own prefix when a product is created.
- Catalogue sharing
- Share selected products with trading partners who also run Granditude Commerce. They arrive in the partner's purchasing as a supplier catalogue.
From new article to on sale
Create or receive the product
A product is created in PIM, or arrives when a buyer publishes a new article from a supplier's catalogue in Purchase Management.
Enrich it
Add text per market, media, brand, categories and options. Let AI draft the description where copy is missing.
Activate per market
When the product is ready, activate it in the markets where it should be sold.
List per channel
Choose the shops and points of sale it appears in. The change is published to every application at once.
Part of one platform, not another silo
PIM never talks to another application directly. It publishes what it owns to Connect once, and receives what it needs the same way. That is why the numbers stay the same in every system.
Who uses it
- Product and catalogue managers own the product record and decide what is sold where.
- Content and marketing teams write and translate copy and manage media per market.
- Buyers turn new supplier articles into sellable products.

Questions about PIM
What is a PIM system?
A product information management (PIM) system is the single place where product data is created and maintained: names, descriptions, images, attributes, variants and categories. Every sales channel reads from it instead of keeping its own copy.
Can one product have different texts in different countries?
Yes. Granditude PIM stores name, description, brand, categories, options and attributes per market on the same product record, so a product can be localised for each country without being duplicated.
Can I sell a product in one channel but not another?
Yes. A product is activated per market and then listed or unlisted per sales channel, so it can be live in your webshop and hidden in a point of sale, or the other way round.
Does Granditude PIM write product descriptions with AI?
It can draft descriptions where the supplier supplied none, for one product or in bulk, and translate a product into another market's language. The draft is a starting point for your own words.
How does product data reach the webshop and other systems?
Every change is published once to Connect, the platform's data stream, and every application that needs it receives it. The storefront, order desk, pricing and warehouse all stay current without exports.
Do I have to use the whole platform to use PIM?
No. Each application works in its own right, and Connect links PIM to the systems you already run.
