Order management system in Granditude Commerce
Order management: every order, from every channel, on one desk
Granditude Order Management is the back office where orders are worked from placement to delivery. Whatever route an order took to get here, from a webshop, from another business on the platform or typed in by a sales rep, it is handled the same way.
Receives
- Orders from storefronts and points of sale
- Purchase orders from other businesses on the platform
- Products and customer prices
- Shipment events from the warehouse
Publishes
- Order status changes
- Shipments to pick and send
When orders arrive in five places, someone spends the day moving them
Webshop orders in one system, B2B orders in an inbox, marketplace orders in a third tool. Staff copy orders between them, customers get different answers depending on who they ask, and nobody can see the full picture.
Granditude Order Management puts every order on one desk. Each order records permanently where it came from, and from that point it is edited, shipped and returned in exactly the same way.
Sound familiar?
- B2B orders arriving by email and re-keyed by hand
- Split deliveries tracked in a spreadsheet
- Payment terms that depend on someone remembering them
What Granditude Order Management does
- Three ways in
- Orders arrive from storefront checkouts, as purchase orders from businesses that also run Granditude Commerce, or entered manually by a sales rep after a quote is accepted.
- Shipment control
- Split one order into several shipments when only part is in stock, merge shipments going to the same place, choose carrier and tracking, and plan the ship date.
- Terms applied automatically
- Payment terms belong to the customer company. Invoice customers get invoice orders, and customers who must pay first get pro-forma orders.
- Returns
- Register a return against the original order with a reason, receive the goods, and settle it with a replacement order or a credit.
- Buyers and companies
- A shared directory of buyers and the customer companies they buy for, linked to the company record used across the platform.
- Customer prices on manual orders
- When a sales rep enters an order, the customer's negotiated prices and volume discounts are applied by default.
- Exceptions surfaced
- When the warehouse cannot pick a line or an order changes after picking started, the shipment is flagged for the order desk to resolve.
- Live stock in the order picker
- See stock per warehouse while building an order, before promising a delivery date.
From order to delivered
The order arrives
From a shop, another business or a sales rep, with its origin recorded.
It is checked and planned
Edit lines or addresses, split or merge shipments, and set carrier and ship date.
The warehouse picks it
Confirmed shipments go to the warehouse to pick and pack. Shipment status comes back automatically.
Delivered, returned or settled
Track it through delivery, handle any return, and close it when payment is settled.
Part of one platform, not another silo
Order Management never talks to another application directly. It publishes what it owns to Connect once, and receives what it needs the same way. That is why the numbers stay the same in every system.
Who uses it
- Order desk and customer service work orders, answer customers and handle returns.
- Sales reps enter B2B orders with the customer's own prices.
- Finance follows invoice orders through to settlement.

Questions about Order Management
What is an order management system?
An order management system (OMS) collects orders from every sales channel in one place and manages them through fulfilment: shipments, status, returns and payment. Granditude Order Management does this for webshop, B2B and manual orders alike.
Can it handle B2B orders?
Yes. Business customers can order through the storefront, send purchase orders from their own Granditude Commerce, or have orders entered by a sales rep. Their negotiated prices and payment terms are applied automatically.
Can one order be shipped in several parts?
Yes. Orders can be split into several shipments, for example when some items are in stock and others are not, and shipments to the same address can be merged.
How are returns handled?
A return is registered against the original order with a reason, received when the goods arrive, and settled either with a replacement order or a credit.
Does it work without Granditude's warehouse system?
Yes. Shipments can be progressed manually by the order desk, or handled automatically by Granditude WMS when you use it.
What happens when another business on the platform orders from me?
Their confirmed purchase order arrives in your Order Management as a live sales order, with the buying company identified and the agreed prices applied. No EDI project and no re-keying.
